Buylist Condition Guidelines and Best Practices
All offers are based on items that are in 8/10 condition or better. Refer to pictures to see wear that is acceptable.
Things We Don’t Deduct For
- We do not deduct for case replacements due to being broken, chipped, have multiple stickers, etc. (Cover art requirements still apply.)
- We do not deduct for disc resurfacing, as long as the disc is repairable.
- We do not deduct for dry save batteries on Pokémon games.
- We do not deduct for handhelds that are missing chargers or stylus.
- We do not deduct for missing AV/HDMI cables.
Disc Based Game Requirements
Examples of minimum acceptable condition
- Disc is in good shape, or is repairable.
- Disc does not have top scratching.
- Cover art has no discoloration, water damage, wrinkling, or tears.
- For Blu-ray discs, only very light scratches are acceptable.
- Damaged cover art: 50%-100%, or loose price where applicable.
- Disc unplayable after repair: 100%
Cartridge Based Game Requirements
Examples of minimum acceptable condition
- Cartridge is clean with no marker, deep scratching, or stickers.
- Cartridge pins are clean, clear of debris, and not corroded.
- Labels have no major tears, folds, or discoloration.
- Major cleaning required: 25%-50%
- Front Label Wear or heavy wear of any kind: 50%-100%
Handheld Console Requirements
Examples of minimum acceptable condition
- Be fully tested, working, cleaned, and have little to no scratching or wear.
- Factory reset where applicable.
- Have battery cover where applicable.
- Heavy wear of any kind: 50%-100%
- Not fully operational: 50%-100%
- Parental PIN lock: -$10
Console and Controller Requirements
- Be fully tested, cleaned, reset to factory settings.
- Minor scratches and wear.
- Systems that require certain cables/accessories/covers must be included.
- N64 needs jumper pak + lid
- Wii needs sensor bar + lids + sensor bar
- GameCube needs port covers
- Include clean, working, first party controller (for Wii, this includes Nunchuck)
- Controllers must have intact joysticks.
- Controllers must have battery cover where applicable.
- Heavy wear of any kind (cracks, chips, discoloration, heavy scratches, etc): 50%-100%
- Not fully operational: 50%-100%
Items that do not meet these guidelines are subject to minor or full deductions depending on severity of issue.
Shipments that do not include required information will be deducted $25.
Significant added processing time due to condition issues may lead to further deductions.
